UPDATE: At this time the boil water advisory remains active. The water line has been repaired and the water association is awaiting test results. For any additional questions or timeline please direct them to the water association. As soon as we are notified we will put out a release saying the boil water advisory has been lifted.
Boil Water Advisory
Due to a mainline break, customers of Mulberry-Fairplains Water Association in Wilkes County are advised to boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation) or use bottled water.
The Advisory is for all customers in the following area:
1913 Sparta Road to 2362 Sparta Road is advised to boil water due to loss of pressure and the possibility of contamination. The advisory includes Brown Berry Road, Northwood Hills Road, Megan Lane, William Harrold Drive, Apple Street, Briar Creek Drive, Elledge Mill Road and all roads connecting from the intersection of Elledge Mill Road & 18 North to Elledge Mill Road & Mulberry Mill Road.
Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
This advisory remains in effect until further written notification is issued.
