  • Foster homes can have up to five children in their home. This includes their own children.

  • Children of all ages enter Foster Care. Children as young as infants up to the age of 18 may need a foster home placement. Young adults ages 18-21 can also be eligible, based on requirements, to participate in the Foster Care Program. Potential  foster parents will go through a training process that will help them identify what age group they are able to foster in their home. The Department of Social Services is always seeking more foster families, especially those that will consider fostering teenagers and sibling groups.
